Two former Connecticut high school hockey standouts recently signed college commitments to play division 1 men’s ice hockey:
- Billy Vizzo (Shelton, CT) has recently committed to American International College in Springfield, MA. The former Notre Dame-Fairfield and Notre Dame-West Haven winger, is currently playing for Suffolk PAL Islanders (USPHL-Premier) He was a member of the 2012 state champion Notre Dame-West Haven Green Knights and earned 1st team All-State honors the following season (2012).
- Ben Solin (Madison, CT) committed to Harvard University for the 2018-2019 season. He was an All-State forward who helped lead Daniel Hand HS to a Connecticut D2 state championship in 2014, before transferring to Phillips Exeter for his final two years of high school.
UPDATE: Solin will skate for the Nanaimo Clippers of the BCHL next season as he continues to prepare for his college hockey career.
